One of my petty obsessions is wooden utensils, wooden lidded drinking glass jars together with crockery. I justice it is reminds me of baking together with cooking amongst my mum equally a kid. I was hence pleased when, at 18, I left abode that my mum donated a duo of her wooden spoons to me...... together with was hence lamentable when i cracked a few years agone afterwards existence left it inwards a boiling pan of soup.

I right away purchase wooden spoons, bowls together with plates when e'er I come upward across them inwards charity shops...... which sadly happens less ofttimes than I similar these days.

So........to protect them I induce got been important to purchase roughly wax for a petty while......but decided concluding calendar week to hold back upward a recipe together with to my corking delight establish that I non exclusively already had all the ingredients required, but it is unbelievably slow to make!!!

After I posted the to a higher identify picture on Instagram I got a few asks for the receipe hence idea I would portion it on here..... As it wasn't a planned post I haven't taken whatsoever corking pictures or indeed whatsoever of the making procedure but it is hence slow yous won't demand them anyway :)


Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Beeswax (try together with larn the creamy coloured pellets non white equally they haven't been beached)
6 tablespoons Coconut crude oil or Walnut crude oil (not olive equally tin larn rancid quickly)

Instructions
Over a medium heat, inwards a double boiler, melt the beeswax together with crude oil together, stirring occasionally. Once mixed together together with runny pour into a drinking glass scandalise together with hold back for it to set

Once your wax/ rub has laid role a lint complimentary fabric (I genuinely used my fingers) to rub a generous sum  into your wooden beauties. Leave overnight  ( or iv hours if inpatient similar me) together with and hence using a lint complimentary fabric buff :) 

Below is a petty photograph of i of my favourite wooden charity store finds, a wooden fruit bowl, that shows the earlier (left) together with afterwards (right).... it genuinely looks a lot to a greater extent than noticeable inwards 'real life'. It has genuinely brought out the grain out together with enhanced the warm ruby-red musical note of the wood.
